Arch of Augustus

Description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arch_of_Augustus,_Rome

Descripcion foto: The Arch of Augustus can be regarded as the first permanent three-bayed arch ever built in Rome. According to the sources, two arches were built in honor of Augustus in the Roman Forum: one for his victory over Antony and Cleopatra in 31 BC in the battle of Actium, and one for the recovery of the standards lost to the Parthians in 20 BC, after the battle of Carrhae. It is unknown to which event this Arch refers.
