The flags of every branch of the military stand sentinel over these personal testaments of thanks and in memory of veterans. Surrounding the memorial are a series of memorial benches providing a place to sit, stop and reflect. To the left of the Pentagon courtyard is a quiet contemplative waterfall & pond surrounded by more granite benches. Made in America: Yes, there’s the New Jersey Six Flags (http://holiday.sixflags.com/) and a “premium” outlet shopping center but you’re in the middle of the New Jersey shore area so lots of things to do in a bunch of nearby towns – with crowds to match.
