Detailed description: There are around 48 000 refugees from South Sudan living in the Jewi camp. More than 90% of the camp's population is made up of women and children. Through a project funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ADRA has contributed to a dignified, healthy and safe life for the camp's residents. How? By building latrines and educating people about good hygiene. The latrines were built simply, cheaply and with the input of the local community. With at least 50 people per latrine, they were not only built but also supplied with cleaning materials, which are always the responsibility of the community member using the latrine.
