Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Tour Guide

Skalitz

Today's name: Stříbrná Skalice

History: The town and castle were founded in the 14th century near the silver mines. Wenceslas IV took over in 1403 under the governance of Sir Racek Kobyla. He was forced to flee the castle to protect the inhabitants against invading Sigismund’s army. Sigismund torched the castle and it was never rebuilt. The church of St. John of Nepomuk was built on its place in 1730.

What can be seen today: Today only remnants of the gatehouse wall, the zwinger and the perimeter walls remain.
