Description: When the Manhattan Project was starting to be developed, St. Louis was a producer of Uranium. This resulted in radioactive waste that is still present in the West Lake Landfill. Just Moms is a group of people who work to clean it up by contacting government officials for things like voluntary buyouts for everyone who lives in a one-mile radius of the landfill, safe removal and clean up of the landfill, and property assurance for people living five miles from the landfill.
